The objective prism spectra for some F5-G5 dwarfs with different chemical composition (Table 1) have been analysed on purpose to study metal abundance effects. There have been measured the central depths of practically all measurable spectral lines and blends within the range of 3700-4500 X (Table 2) which can be identified with reliability even in the spectra of moderate quality. The influence of metal content on the line depth ratios has been investigated, our results being in agreement with those obtained by Dolidze and Jimsheleishvili [5] by the tantamount equipment and also with the results of some other authors [34,35] who used different equipment. It has been found that some combinations of line depth ratios can be well used for segregation of stars with various metal content. The luminosity effects on the chosen lino depth ratios have been investigated by combining our spectra with those obtained by shiukashvili. The conclusion is that in some cases the luminosity effects do not interfere with segregation of dwarfs having various metal content. The influence of natal abundance on quantitative spectral class determination!, according to [6] has been estimated.
