The method and computational algorithm for determining the proper notions on the basis of the Carte du Ciel Catalogues and recent photographic obeorvatlons are considered.The problem is solved according to the scheme of intercomparison of the two lists of stellar coordinates assigned to different epochs.To compute the star positions of the first epoch (approximately 1900) their coordinates measured on the Carte du Ciel plates are used,the spherical coordinates of reference stars are selected from AGK3 taking into account the proper motions. The position of each star in question is computed on the basis of the reduction results of two or three Carte du Ciel plates with allowance for overlapping.The star positions in the second epoch are computed in terms of photographic data measured recently; the photos with the reference stars are taken from AGK3 as well. As a result of position comparisons the proper motions of the stars in the system of AGK3 are obtained. The above method is applied to determine the proper motions of 208 faint stars (m< 12.0) in the area of 3x3 square degrees near d Per. The first epoch is represented with the stellar coordinates measured on seven overlapping plates of the Catania Zone,the second one - with four plates,obtained by means of the 70-cm meniscus telescope at Abastumani. The epoch difference amounts to 74 years. As a result of reduction the coordinates of the stars in question for the first epoch are obtained with a mean error ±0 .23 and those of the second epoch with ±0".10. The error of the proper motions turned out to be equal to ±0M.0036 a year. The investigation of systematic errors of the proper motion obtained showed that they hold the proper motion system of AGK3 well negative brightness equation is found in the results of determinations (no more than 0.005 for five magnitudes)
