Chapters I, II and III represent a review of electrophotometric and spectral observations of the continuous airglov spectrua, the following questions are discussed 1) the absolute intensity in various regions of continuous spectrum, 2) separation on atmospheric, stellar and zodiacal components, 3) intensity variations, 4) correlation of continuous spectrum intensity with that of airglow emission lines, 5) distribution of intensity in continuous spectrum.
