Abstract

Sense with its formal and notional dimensions is a main force of translation. According to Umberto Eco the sense embraces a writer and a reader open or closed texts and three different intentions: intention auctoris, intention operis, intention lectoris. Sense instability is directly linked with translation activity. A translator doesn't have a right to change an expression or express his own idea. According to an author's plan a translator just definies whether a texte is open or not.
