Abstract

Interstellar absorption and spatial distribution of stars were studied in the region of 18 square degree! around the NGC6B23 on the basis of the data related to 1779 stare. The region in question was divided into 5 areas (Fig.1).The curves of visual absorption depending on the distance and the histograms of spatial distribution of stars are shown in figures 2 (I-V) and 3, respectively. In terse of the analysis of the results obtained one can note quits a number of characteristics of the region under conaideration. Namely,this abeorbing matter falls within 100-600 pc in this region. The average value of the absorption amounts to 3.1 mg at the first kpc. Further the space is essentially transparent. The density of 0-B2 stars is almost an order lower than it is towards this Local era,while those of D3-B5 stars are the areas. B7-B9, A0-A2 stars arrange mainly within 100-600 pc, where there are some dense clouds. Besides their densities are rather high. The luminosity function la constructed for the region in question (Fig.6 in [8]).
