Abstract

The photographic observations of Trapezium type multiple systems are systematically carried out in the Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory since 1958 in order to prepare the catalogue of photometric, spectral and astrometric characteristics for the components of these systems. In order to determine magnitudes and relative positions the observations were carried out at the primary focus (F=680 cm) of 40 cm refractor. When photographing faint systems one image, but in the case of comparatively bright multiple systems from 2 to 9 images on the plate were received. The rectangular coordinates of the multiple systems were measured on a measuring machine KHM-3. The scale was determined at different temperatures by measuring stellar distances in Al 34. When the temperature was changed by 20'. the scale changed by 30'. 593. Corrections for the first order refraction have been applied. On the whole 102 photographic plates are obtained for 21 multiple systems, at an average 4-5 photographic plates for each multiple system. Three color photometry standing near Johnson's and Morgan's U, B. V system was chosen as a photometry system. The effective lengths for the photographic system {V, B, V) obtained by the author are accordingly 3745. 4325 and 5500 A. The spectral class of stars of Trapezium multiples is determined by means of 8® and 4° objective prism spectra H0 cm meniscus type telescope). Relative positions of stars for 24 Trapezium type multiple systems, magnitudes and spectral classes are given in table 9.
