Abstract
The distribution of about 55,00 A-stars of HD Catalogue has been investigated. In a number of cases they turned out to form real condensations. This conclusion is supported by application of the method of random tests (the Monte-Carlo method) and the Poisson's formula. The condensations are mostly distributed near the galactic plane. Their angular diameters vary from 2° to 6°; mean dimensions and densities are of the order of those for 0 and T associations. Among 21 condensations fixed by us three are denser and have comparatively sharp outlines. The condensations contain mainly A0-A2 stars. B8-B9 stars are founded rarely. The mean values of radial velocities of stars in Cyg and Lac condensations differ from those of the background stars. Consequently, the condensations of the A-stars in Cyg and Lac, fixed y us may be considered as actually expanding ones.
