Abstract

From July till September 1965 the degree of polarisation was measured by three instruments at several points in the sky in blue, yellow and red light. The mean results for zenith, for points on the solar meridian at zenith distances and for other places are discussed and compared with measurements by other authors. The influence of the troposphere is shown by the difference between polarization in fresh polar air and in tropical air.
