Elootrophotometric investigation of v Eridani in the two regions of spectrum had been carried our on the basis of observations obtained by means of a stellar electropliotometer at the Alastmnani Astrophysical Observatory in 1950 1958. Tho observations showed, that besides variability of colour and brightness, the variability of amplitude from 0".20 to 0".05 takes place. Because of complex character of v Eridani variability it is impossible to present all the observations by means of one period, i. e. to trace a mean curve. We tried to present our observations by means of interference of two oscillations. We based on two oscillation periods of radial velocities calculated by Struve and his colleagues, which we have corrected on the basis of photometric determinations. By means of these periods we divided the curves of variability of v Eri in two components. According to these curves for each night of observation, we traced summary curves which were compared with observed ones. The calculated curves, except a few cases, are in good accordance with the observed ones. Our observations show the colour-variation of v Eri. In order to control the theory of pulsation and to calculate the radius we used the first and second components of light, colour and velocity curves. There are the indications about the same relation for both components of star variability and we can conclude, that they must have the same interpretation* Wesselink's method was used for tho calculation of radius. This attempt did not give us a good result, the mean radius was found to be negative. It may mean, that the star does not undergo radial pulsation. The calculated radial velocity curve compared with that of observed one showed the phase shift, equal to 0p.3. This also indicates, that β Cep type stars, particularly v Eri light variation cannot be explained by radial pulsation. October, 1960.
