Abstract
Electrophotometry of the spectroscopic binary α Virginis has been carried out with the comparison star ζ Vir. Table I shows the results of the observations. The normal points are given in the table 2. The analysis of the light curves reveals the effect of the elipticity of components without the eclipse phenomena, the factor being 0.14. Hence, α Vir belongs to the ellipoidal stars. March, 1961
