რეზიუმე

The paper aims lo study the selective light absorption in various directions in the Galaxy, on the base of colour excesses of RR Lyrae type stars. The variables were photographed with the 40 cm Schmidt camera through BG3 and GGII light filters on Isochrom films. Since the variables of this type change their colours with the variations of light, the colour indices were determined at maximum brightness moments. The negatives were standardized by North polar sequence stars. An average colour index of stars having galactic latitudes above 60 was used as normal colour. The observations showed that 80% of these stars form a homogenous group of colour characteristics. The absence of correlation between a period and colour index was discussed. A mean absolute magnitude of 47 RR Lyrae type stars was determined on the base of proper motions by E. PawlowiKoja. All the stars of our catalogue were studied from the view-point of interstellar reddening. General conclusions were derived. The parameters of the absorption formula by Parenago were determined for the three galactic zones: 0—30°, 30—60° and 60—90°. May, 1957.
