Abstract

A symmetry plane of the absorbing matter was determined by the method described in [1]. Data on the interstellar absorption from the papers by E.K. Kharadse [2] and by N.Ph. Florja [3] were used from this purpose. The plane of symmetry was determined from two groups of directions: I - Galactic zone with latitude [b]≤12°. II - Directions with latitude [b]>12°. The following values were obtained for the inclinations (i) and the longitude of the ascending node (Ω) if the symmetry plane: I - i = 3°±1° Ω = 40°±10° II - i = 14°±3° Ω = 134°±10° December, 1954
