Abstract
The present article is dedicated to the research of interjections in Italian language. The introductory part of the study discusses some general aspects of the emotions and the emotional discourse. The article represents classification of Italian interjections. Are described several examples extracted from the works of famous Italian authors such as: D. Alighieri, N. Machiavelli, C. Goldoni, U. Eco, L. Pirandello, G. Deledda, I.Calvino. In the final part of the study is underlined the importance of interjections in the process of the emotional discourse and their value in the literary compositions.
