Abstract

The table given below contains the results of s spectrohelioscopic observations made between July 1, 1938 and July 1, 1939 (early observations are given in our Bulletin N. 3 p.34). t1 and t2 mean the moments of the beginning and the end of the observation given in the mean Greenwich time. q and h - the quality of the image and the intensity of the nimbus on a fivepoint scale (5 corresponds to the best image; 0 - to the absence of the nimbus); Cφ and B - the bright flocculi and filaments; φ - the heliographic latitude; l - the heliographic longitude in Carrington's system; S - the area of detail expressed in millionth parts of the hemisphere surface of the Sun; f - the form of prominences ( 1 - grasslike, trailling; 2 - compact, nearing the shape of a semicircle; 3 - ramified; 4 - archshaped; 5 - detached): I - the intensity estimated visually using a five pints scale.
