Abstract
The paper describes the cross-linguistic pecularities of grammatical and lexical aspects based on the theories of Comrie [Comrie, B., 1976], Hovav and Levin [Hovav, R., Levin, B., 1995, 1998] and Marantz [Marantz, A., 1997], on the one hand. And, on the other hand, taking into account the syntactic complexity of Georgian verbal idiom from the viewpoint of derivational morphology, which presupposes that the special attention is paid to the aspectual semantics of idiom.
