Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide a description of the difficulties related to translation of the Georgian folk tales in French. Translation of folk tales allows observing not only the peculiarities of the stories and of the world described in these stories but also the peculiarities of the storytelling, which is realized as unintended, outward and apparent impression created by the differences between the French and Georgian languages and cultures.
