Abstract
Musical vocabulary, intonational stock is the argument for different peoples to live together, for their cultural connections. This is why folk music is the source in the study of the problems of ethno genesis and cultural contacts. The given work deals with the dialogue between cultures, the study of some problems of traditional music of Abkhazia- aboriginal province of Georgia and also presents rich material about singer-chanters’ and song-masters’ work in Abkhazia, and testifies to the long creative relations, friendship and love between the Georgians and Abkhazians.
