Abstract
First of all we proposed to pay our attention to the different appellations and characters related to the chromatic terminology of yellow. Subsequently we demonstrated the means, in the writing of Arthur Rimbaud, by which the immaterial appearance of the yellow color will move into the luminescent material exteriorization appropriating as well the concept of false. On the basis of the theory put forward by L. Wittgenstein consisting in the suggestion that the term of color is directly related to the chromatic impression of the surface, the light of the sun contributes (Proses en marge de l’évangile), at the moment of its strongest expansion (two nearest hours after meridian), to the modification of the color of the water into yellow. Allied to the sun, the yellow permits to Rimbaud, on the one hand, the visualization of the alteration, and, on the other hand, to transplant the origin of the miracle into the sun where the reported event equals to the false event.
